Jostens Event for Seniors
Seniors should attend the October 26, 2026, Jostens event in the HS Theater from 10:40 to 11:00. Jostens will be handing out packets to order your cap/gown after the meeting.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, packets will be available after the meeting in the HS office.

Pirates for a Purpose: Welcome Home Baskets
Consider supporting a You Design It PHS student hosting a fundraiser
to raise money for Extended Housing. Help create “Welcome Home” baskets filled with everyday essentials for individuals moving into permanent, supportive housing.
Orders will be delivered before Thanksgiving break so you can get in the holiday spirit and be ready for gift-giving!

Buckeye Boys/Girls State
Are you interested in learning more about how our government works while making new friends from all over Ohio? Please consider attending Buckeye Boys/Girls State.
These programs provide a practical exercise in the operation of a democratic government as the students govern a fictitious 51st state. They will run for election and will be appointed to serve in offices within the Legislative Branch and in Cabinet/Administrative Departments at the State, County, and Local Government levels. All Buckeye Boys State Delegates will be required to attend a local orientation meeting in the spring of 2027.
Applications and other information are available through the school counseling office at Perry High School, with applications due by November 4th. Applicants will be interviewed, and final selection will be made by the American Legion.

Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY)
Attention PHS Sophomores:
Applications are now available in the school counseling office for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY). HOBY is a program that inspires and develops young leaders through workshops and activities with community and business leaders.
The 2027 conference will be held in June at John Carroll University.
One sophomore will be chosen to represent Perry High School at this prestigious event.
Pick up your application in the school counseling office today.
Applications are due Friday, November 20th, and interviews will be held on Monday, November 23rd.

FAFSA Filing Night
On November 10, LEAF (Lake Educational Assistance Foundation) will be at Perry High School from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the media center to assist families with the completion of the FAFSA form. There are limited time slots available. Please Sign up by November 3.

LEAF Virtual Sessions
LEAF is an organization in our county known for helping families with college and career planning.
Interested parents and students are invited to attend the virtual session being held on Monday, October 19th from 6:30-7:30 pm. Mrs. Soeder will be there to learn more about programs and next steps for our students interested in alternatives to the college-only pathway.

LEAF partners with Perry High School to provide career, education, and financial advisory services that help students and families plan their next steps after graduation. LEAF's services are free to students and families within the schools they serve. LEAF's Virtual Information Sessions take place Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm on Google Meet. Sessions are free to attend, but you must pre-register. Visit LEAF's website for their Virtual Information Session calendar.
Commencement Speech 2027
At the commencement for the class of 2027, we will have three speeches. The class president will speak along with two additional speakers. This will be determined using the following process:
- One speech will be selected from the students receiving the Student of Excellence honor.
- One speech will be selected from any student graduating with the class in that year.
- If you are interested in speaking at Commencement on May 23rd, please complete the Commencement Speech 2027 Google Form and follow the steps outlined in the form by April 30, 2027.
December 1st: Baby pictures and Senior Photos are due.
● Baby pictures for the Senior Video are due to Mr. Kellogg by December 1st. Email your digital baby photos to KelloggA@perry-lake.org.
● Yearbook photos are due to Mrs. Skarupa by December 1st. Mrs. Skarupa prefers digital head-and-shoulders shots. Email your digital photo to Mrs. Skarupa. Photos should be a single shot of the graduating student only!
