Attendance Reporting

ATTENDANCE REPORTING: Ohio parents must report student absences via designated school phone lines, apps, or emails, usually on the morning of the absence. Per Ohio law, schools must notify parents within 120 minutes of the start of the school day if a student is absent without notification. Parents should provide documentation (e.g., doctor’s notes) for excused absences to avoid truancy issues.

Thank You, Lincoln Electric

Perry High School and Lake Erie College would like to extend a huge thank-you to Lincoln Electric and The Welding School for sending pipe-welding instructor Mr. Scott Galippo to the Perry Welding Hub on Friday, March 20th!

Scott shared his expertise with more than 20 of our students, demonstrating ASME pipe, API pipe, and GTAW pipe welding techniques. For the day, our welding booths were transformed into a hands-on, makeshift pipe shop—giving students a truly authentic experience.

The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, and it was incredibly valuable to have a new voice in the room to reinforce and expand on key welding concepts.

We’re especially excited to share that one of our seniors is now committed to enrolling in the pipe welding class this May!

Thank you again for your time, knowledge, and support in helping our students explore high-demand career pathways. 🔥👨‍🏭

Senior Decision Day

Attention seniors: April 30th is our annual Senior Decision Day, which will be outside of the Goodwin Theatre during ICE and lunch blocks. Auburn students may stop by before leaving school.

This is for ALL seniors to declare their plans: employment, military, trade school, & college. As always, we have encouraged the students to wear something representing their plans, as they will have their photo taken holding their certificate. We hope you consider wearing a shirt/sweatshirt, as well, representing your school/path.
