Perry Foundation Loan Application

Perry Foundation loans are available to all students who are enrolled, attend, or have graduated from the Perry Local Schools who are or will be full-time students (12 credits or more) pursuing post secondary education, including two-year, four-year or technical school. The loan application requires that you submit the attached documents to the Trustees of the Perry Foundation by June 15th of each year

  • American Public Works Association, Northeast Ohio Chapter Scholarship

    Overview

    • Award: Three scholarships of $1,000 each

    • Eligibility: High school seniors or college students residing in Northeast Ohio

    • Fields of study: Public Works–related programs, including engineering, administration, environmental, construction management, and trades

    Basic Eligibility Requirements

    • Resident of Northeast Ohio

    • High school senior or current college student

    • Pursuing a Public Works–related field of study

    • Enrolled in an applicable academic or vocational program

  • The Christ Child Society of the Western Reserve is offering a $1,200.00 Mary Virginia
    Merrick Scholarship Opportunity to one graduating Senior.

    Scholarship Criteria:

    •  No GPA Requirement
    •  Open to any graduating Senior who plans to attend a:
      •  Trade School
      •  Community College
      •  4 Year College/University, Public or Private
    •  Strong Community Involvement in Lake County
    •  The student must be a resident of Lake County
    •  Students may only apply once through one school (either home school district,Auburn Career Center, or Northern Career Institute)

    How to apply:
    1. Craft an essay of 500 words or fewer addressing the provided prompt:
    Drawing on your own experiences and volunteerism, please define what a
    servant leader is. How will your educational plans prepare you to be a
    servant leader in your local community and beyond? In the response,
    please describe your ten-year plan and how you will be able to give back
    to your local community using your education.

  • OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship

    Scholarship Criteria

    • Available to children of an active OAPSE/AFSCME member in good standing (parent or legal guardian).

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.

    • Student must plan to enroll full-time in a:

      • Two-year or four-year accredited college or university, or

      • Accredited business or technical school.

    • Scholarships may be used for any field of study.

    • Award Amount: $2,500

    • At least one scholarship is awarded in each of the 10 OAPSE Districts.

    How to Apply

    • Complete the OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship application 

    • Include all required information and supporting documentation.

    • Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2026.

    • Submit materials to the scholarship committee as directed in the application.

     

  • Ohio Natural Energy Foundation Scholarship

    Overview

    • Award: $1,500 per year, renewable for up to four years

    • Eligibility: Undergraduate students pursuing a career in the natural gas and oil industry

    • Ohio resident or attending (or planning to attend) an accredited Ohio college, university, technical, or trade school

  • Medical Mutual Scholarship Fund for Customer Schools

    Overview

    • Award: $1,000 one-time scholarship; six top applicants statewide receive $10,000

    • Eligibility: Seniors graduating from Ohio school districts with Medical Mutual insurance

    Overview

    • Award: One or more scholarships of at least $1,000

    • High school senior who has applied to or is attending an accredited vocational, two-year, or four-year postsecondary institution

    Overview

    • Award: Amount varies based on the number of qualifying applications

    • Supports Farm Bureau youth pursuing post–high school education

    • Funds are distributed after completion of one quarter/semester and submission of grades, with membership in good standing

    Eligibility

    • Current Lake County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a current member

    • Enrolled full-time at a minimum two-year institution with a 2.5 GPA or higher

    • Agriculture or related field preferred but not required; awards are renewable

  • Lakeland Area Counselors Association (LACA)Scholarship

    Scholarship Criteria

    • U.S. Citizen or eligible noncitizem

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Ashtabula, Lake or Geauga County High school with a current LACA member employed by the school district

    • Student must plan to enroll full-time in a:

      • Two-year or four-year accredited college or university, or

      • certificate program, or

      • technical/vocational college

    • Minimum GPA of 2.5.

    • Award Amount: Two $500 scholarships

  • Lake County Fair Arthur F. Warren Memorial Youth Scholarship

    Overview

    • Award: $1,000

    • Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors involved in Lake County 4-H or the Lake County Junior Fair Board

    • Purpose: Support students attending an institution of higher learning

    Basic Eligibility Requirements

    • Graduating high school senior

    • Lake County resident

    • Member of a Lake County 4-H organization and/or the Lake County Junior Fair Board

    • Accepted as a full-time student at an institution of higher learning

    Additional Requirements

  • The Perry High School Alumni Association is offering a scholarship opportunity to graduating Seniors.

    Scholarship Criteria:

    • Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary program full-time (12 credit hours), including:
      • 4-Year College/University
      • 2-Year College
      • Technical/Trade School

    • Open to:
      • Perry High School graduates
      • Graduates of another high school whose parent or grandparent is a Perry High School alumnus

    • Demonstrated commitment and loyalty to school and/or community

    • Winners will be notified in May

  • Brandy Siegel Memorial Scholarship

    Overview

    Background

    Brandy Siegel passed away on September 4, 2018. A Perry alumna, it was her dream to return and teach at her alma mater, a dream she fulfilled by teaching Math and Social Studies at Perry Middle School. She was passionate about working with children and was actively involved in Camp Sue Osborn, coaching volleyball and track, leading Science Olympiad, and serving as assistant athletic director. She made a lasting impact on her students and community, and this scholarship honors her legacy of service.

    Overview

    • Award: $1,000 (awarded to two Perry High School seniors)

    • Selection: Recipients are chosen by a committee of teachers representing all three schools in the Perry Local School District

    • Funding: Scholarship funds are provided through contributions from paying union members of the Perry Classroom Teachers’ Association

    Selection Criteria

    • Awarded to two seniors who best embody the qualities Perry teachers value in their classrooms

    • Students must have consistently demonstrated strong effort, positive attitude, and respectful behavior

    • These qualities should be evident throughout their entire time in the Perry Local School District

  • Perry Women’s League Citizenship Scholarship

    A scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500.00 [nonrenewable] to two Perry High School seniors meeting the following criteria:

    •  Senior at Perry High School • Seeking post-secondary education
    • Completion of application by April 15, 2026

    Overview

    • Award: $1,000

    • Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors or current college students pursuing environmental or natural resource–related fields

    • Purpose: Support students whose studies align with conservation and ecosystem restoration

    Basic Eligibility Requirements

    • Permanent resident of Ashtabula, Geauga, or Lake County

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA

    • Accepted as a full-time student pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree

    Additional Requirements

    • Official transcript and record of community environmental involvement

    • Two letters of recommendation from instructors, community leaders, or employers

  • Americans of Italian Heritage Scholarship

    Overview

    • Award: Four scholarships of $2,000 each

    • School year: 2026–2027

    • Eligibility: High school seniors, undergraduate, or graduate students of Italian descent

    Basic Eligibility Requirements

    • Resident of Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga, or Ashtabula County

    • At least one parent of Italian descent

    • Graduating high school senior or full-time student attending an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, vocational, or technical school

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

    • Demonstrated financial need

    Application Requirements

    • Completed online scholarship application

    • Current official transcript

    • FAFSA confirmation page showing Student Aid Index (SAI)

    • Two letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, professor, coach, or other professional

    Deadline

    • All materials must be submitted by May 19, 2026

    • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
