Summer Internship Spotlight 8/13/25
🔧 Our final summer internship spotlight shines on Brady who is spending his summer continuing his internship with BoltsandNuts.com right here in Perry. After completing the internship course during the spring semester, Brady has remained with the company, growing his skills and exploring his interest in engineering and design.
What started as curiosity about CAD (computer-aided design) has turned into something more. With guidance from his mentor, Andrew Graham, Brady began experimenting with CAD this spring using instructional videos, trial and error, and plenty of redesigns to teach himself the basics. As it turns out, Brady is a quick study, and his persistence is paying off.
Over the summer, he’s balanced time in the warehouse with design projects, most recently creating a functional screw plug after multiple iterations. This hands-on work is teaching Brady more than just design; it’s helping him develop perseverance and resilience, qualities that are vital in both engineering and life.
Many students might get frustrated and give up when faced with repeated design challenges, but not Brady. His willingness to try, learn, and try again is what sets him apart.
Outside of his internship, Brady is also committed to Perry Pirate Football, putting in the work with his teammates while actively exploring college programs in engineering and possibly even motorsports.
Brady, we’re proud of the way you’re using your summer to gain experience, grow your skills, and push yourself both physically and mentally. Keep up the great work—you’re building a strong foundation for your future! 🛠️🏈
